Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition
Back in 2002, Bentley commissioned Breitling to design an on-board clock for their newly released Continental GT - from there, the brands relationship blossomed into a large, often confusing collection of wrist watches. New for 2019, Brietling’s latest collaboration with the luxury car brand takes form in the more recent Premiere Collection - with the Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition. Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, the new watch features a unique aged “Elm Burl” dial that gives a nod to the old-style Bentley and keeps a tight design language that isn’t over-the-top.

THE JUICE:
Historically, the Breitling for Bentley hasn’t been my favorite collection. While I have found many models attractive, I’ve found the overwhelming majority to be clunky and convoluted at best. This is the first Bentley watch in awhile that I have legitimately stopped and went “Okay, now that’s a beautiful Breitling for Bentley”.
The utilization of the clean new Premier collection was a good step towards the coherency of this watch, it’s also a great way to promote the modern look of the line without being kitschy. The dial reminds me of cigars and aged leather, and it simply works well for this watch and this collaboration.
If this is what we can expect out of the Bentley Collection with Kern at the helm, then mark me down as being on board.
