The Legacy Machine Flying T Allegra: An MB&F x Bulgari Creation

If there is one thing we can all agree MB&F does well, is weigh the risks and rewards of each project. With a unique penchant for non-tradition, the brand has created some truly mind-boggling timepieces over the years. In another bout of creative collaboration, MB&F and Bulgari have come up with a version of the LM Flying-T Allegra that feels like a literal spilled treasure chest of color and opulence.

The FlyingT Allegra was the brainchild of Bulgari’s Creative Director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani and MB&F’s Founder Max Büsser - out of an apparent respect for each other’s craft. The result is a quite feminine timepiece riddled with diamonds and jewels - 7 large stones and an undisclosed (though exorbitant) amount of Diamonds.

The FlyingT Allegra will consist of 40 watches, twenty in rose gold, and twenty in white gold.

The case has been completely reimagined by Bulgari, while the guts have the staple MB&F DNA. The main event is the 50-Degree tilted Tourbillon encased in a gold dial plate encrusted with a seemingly endless amount of diamonds. Flanked by a Diamond “bezel”, the watch also features a domed sapphire crystal that magnifies the Legacy Machine movement. The collaboration provides a very “3D-esque” view into a seriously blingy timepiece.

Overall Max and Fabrizio have created a really cool piece here. It’s feminine, and while I tend to get frustrated when aesthetically articulating feminine watches simply involve throwing tons of precious stones at it, I enjoy the look of this watch. It’s complicated, it’s fun, it’s iced to the max, and I feel it’s an overall killer collaboration.

How much is the Legacy Machine Flying T Allegra?

The watch will be limited to 20 pieces in white gold and 20 pieces in red gold and run $185,000 USD. You can read more about the Legacy Machine Flying T Allegra at MB&F’s website.
