H. Moser & Cie Releases a Perpetual Calendar Into Their Streamliner Collection
H. Moser & Cie has always been out there. Their releases have always consisted of a number of elements that range from absolute watchmaking innovation, to straight up trolling (looking at you Swiss Alp). They’ve even made their way into building cases out of hardened…….. Cheese. Yes cheese. The Streamliner Collection has fallen into an almost futuristic design language.
The first of the collection was a simple 3-hander watch. Then came a Flyback Chrono, and now a Perpetual Calendar.

THE JUICE:
H. Moser & Cie have been at the forefront of deisgn. First and foremost, the brand takes aesthetics into account beyond the technical innovations the brand brings to the table with every model. That being said, the technical difference here is how the Perpetual Calendar is utilized on the dial.
Instead of having subdials on top of subdials to display the date information, the brand has opted to use a ring on the outer perimeter of the dial with a small “nub” hand under the seconds hand. This minimizes clutter on the dial and utilizes a coherent way of determining month, week, and day. This uses the 12 hour indices to determine the month, the larger hashes around the dial for the week, and the smaller hashes for the day.
Included in-leu of the 4 o’ clock indicator, is a date window with matching date wheel. Additionally, at the 10 o’ clock indice, is the power reserve indicator. This includes a small un-intrusive hand pointing to the power level - All 7 days of it.
Flipping the watch over, there is nothing short of a work of art being presented to you. The Calibre HMC 812 is a superbly decorated hand-wound movement with 7 days of power reserve, and a grey anthracite treatment on the mainplate. Additionally, the bridges and barrels are treated with a grey PVD coating.
Overall, this is a fantastic addition to the Streamliner Collection. It fits the brands overall aesthetic, and proves an addition of a major complication doesn’t need to be cluttered. The watch is equally sporty and dressy. It fits in at a barbecue (maybe in like, the Hamptons or something), or can be workn with a suit.
