Hear me out. Hublot hasn’t exactly been, the… Well… Darling of watch enthusiast folk. The seemingly endless amount of special and limited editions out of the brand are dizzying and hard to keep up with at best, and downright confusing at worst. So imagine my total utter lack of surprise when I heard that DJ Snake was involved in the brands next limited release.

Partnering with the producer of such a hit as “Turn Down For What?” for an ultra limited release perfectly encapsulates Hublot and it’s many… MANY limited releases.

So without further ado… the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake.

THE JUICE:

Okay, I know what you’re thinking - “But Travis, it kind of looks like an Invicta.” - and that’s actually… fair. Except it works for what it is - Even if it’s absurdly expensive, and overengineered.

Again, hear me out. The case is iridescent polished Titanium, which is surprisingly difficult to do with any kind of top notch quality. Hublot seems to have done a great job with the finishing of this watch, especially considering how eccentric DJ Snake can be. And this watch is VERY… DJ Snake.

From the strap, to the globe dial cage, to his $&@?ing name printed on it, this watch in quintessentially DJ Snake x Hublot. And in that context, and really, with the added eccentric nature of Rave Culture in general, it works. And since Hublot already released it’s one allotted “safe” watch collection, the brand is already long overdue for something wild.

Look. Is this watch for everyone? Obviously not. But does this have a sort of charming appeal to those with deep pockets, and are also maybe into the Rave scene? Yeah sure, I guess. And the good news is there isn’t enough of them that you’re likely to see one in the wild anyway. So in the meantime, let this watch be cool to the people it’s designed to appeal to - whether it would so grace your wrist or not. Okay?

So. How much is the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake?

Well, it’s limited to only 100 pieces and comes in at a price of $26,200.
