The Omega Speedmaster Canopus Gold is a re-imagining of the original Speedmaster CK2915. It shares the same dimensions, the same broad arrow hands, and the same movement (obviously with modern updates, and obviously… in Canopus White Gold). With one exception, that is going to be divisive to Speedmaster fans everywhere - The new model utilizes a sapphire crystal front-and-back.

This allows the wearer to not only see the beautiful movement, but also the added utility of not scratching if you breathe too hard on it. On the back, you’ll see an etching of the Seahorse and a blue sapphire eye - a symbol marking the 65th Anniversary of the Speedmaster.
