HYT Releases the All-New HYT "Superluminova Blue" Moon Runner

At the end of 2021, HYT announced news that it’s regrouping with Davide Cerrato at the helm (read more about that here). They released their inaugural piece under his leadership, a super cool watch called the Hastroid, with some serious Matrix-y vibes. We at WristEnthusiast were huge fans, and were looking forward to what came next. Well? What came next is the Moon Runner - an HYT with plenty of their own DNA, in an all-new blue color.

THE JUICE:

The is very much built on the Hastroid profile. It utilizes the same case, and a portion of the same movement, although it adds a really unique 3D moonphase function in the center of the date. That lunar moonphase is visible through a V-shaped arm holding a blue circle to display the position. Two titanium ring flank the moon that display the month and date.

Just like the Hastroid, the Moon Runner utilizes the brand’s liquid retrograde hours to display the time. This time, instead of green, HYT utilizes a dark shade of blue. Overall, the watch is a very coherent take on some very HYT aesthetics.

Overall, this is a fantastic second offering from HYT. It’s coherent, fun, and provides a unique take on a moonphase. The 3D nature of the watch feels organic to the HYT brand, and the extra utility of the calendar and a beyond generous 72-Hour power reserve considering the unique mechanics of liquid time-telling makes this watch a great addition to the catalogue.

How much is the HYT Moon Runner?

Price for the watch will run the buyer a steep $107,000 USD.
