Ed Sheeran’s Watch Collection - Rolex, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille and More

When it comes to celebrity watch collections, John Mayer’s and Mark Wahlberg’s collections are definitely at the top. Right up there with Mayer’s and Wahlberg’s collections, however, is Ed Sheeran’s collection. The English singer-songwriter can always be seen wearing some very interesting timepieces, whether it’s a Patek Philippe, Rolex, Richard Mille or something else. I take a look at 18 of the watches he has been spotted wearing over the years.

Ed Sheeran’s Patek Philippe Watches

Sheeran is clearly a big Patek Philippe fan. In addition to the typical Nautilus, Sheeran has been spotted wearing multiple complications. One such watch is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5370 split-seconds chronograph. This classic piece will cost you around $250,000 USD on the secondary market.

Perhaps Sheeran’s most out of this world Patek is his Ref. 5208P-001 Grand Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar. This piece is 42mm and has a platinum case. If you really want to purchase your own Grand Complication, be prepared to spend some cash. This piece is priced at around $1,800,000 USD on the grey market.

Ed has also been spotted wearing the Patek Philippe Ref. 5130R worldtime. This watch has a gold case, hand-guillochéd center dial, and a 24 time zone indication with city ring. This piece is available on the secondary market for the (relatively) affordable price of $39,000 USD.

While Sheeran has been spotted with some complicated Patek Philippes, he also has his share of the Genta classic, the Nautilus. Perhaps the rarest of his Nautilus watches is his Ref. 5711/1300A-001 with green dial and factory baguette diamond bezel. Besides the Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus (which he hasn’t been allocated, at least so far…), this is one of the hardest Nautiluses to get. This piece is still rising in price on the secondary market, currently sitting at about $1,250,000 USD.

Sheeran has also been spotted in other Nautiluses, including the Ref. 5726A. This stainless steel piece comes not only with an annual calendar complication, but a moonphase as well. While the watch is offered on a stainless steel bracelet as well, Sheeran’s is on a leather strap. This watch is currently selling on the secondary market for around $115,000 USD.

Ed actually has more than one Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5726A. He has also been spotted in a variation of the watch customized by watch modder Bamford Watch Department. Bamford is now owned by LVMH and only works of watches that are part of LVMH’s group. Sheeran’s modified Nautilus has a red second hand, red indices and his initials in red under the moonphase. Since this is a custom piece, it is hard to put an exact price on it.

Update: December 26, 2022

We at Wristenthusiast have discussed on multiple occasions whether Ed Sheeran would be allocated a Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus. Well we finally got the answer. Sheeran was first spotted wearing the holy grail of Pateks while performing Stan during Eminem’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November.

Ed Sheeran’s Rolex Watches

In addition to Patek Philippe timepieces, Sheeran has been spotted wearing multiple Rolexes. These pieces run the gamut from new to vintage. One of the newer pieces he has been seen wearing is the Rolex Yacht-Master Ref. 116655 in Everose gold. You can pick up this piece for $33,000 USD on the secondary market.

Sheeran has also been spotted wearing a modern classic, the Rolex Daytona Ref. 116500. This steel Daytona, with white “Panda” dial, is perhaps the most sought after Rolex, and definitely the most sought after steel Daytona currently on the market. The market for the 116500 has dipped a little bit, but is still selling at a large premium over the retail price of $14,550 USD. It will cost you around $47,000 USD on the secondary market.

Like his fellow singer and watch collector John Mayer, Sheeran has been spotted wearing the rare white gold Daytona with rainbow gem bezel. Rolex currently makes a similar model in yellow gold. However, they used to make the watch in white gold. Very few examples of this Daytona Ref. 116599RBOW are for sale online, but the few that are up for sale for around $300,000 USD.

For any Rolex collector, the most exciting Rolex from Sheeran’s collections is probably his vintage “Paul Newman” Daytona Ref. 6239. Sheeran’s version has a steel bezel and black dial, with Daytona in red at 6 o’clock. Prices vary on these models, but there are examples currently selling on the secondary market for around $300,000 USD.

Ed Sheeran’s Richard Mille Watches

Richard Mille watches might be controversial to some, but Ed Sheeran has quite a few in his collection. The brand is a lightning rod for different opinions with some hailing the ultra-expensive brand as technically innovative and collectable, while others opining that they look plastically and cheap.

Regardless of the criticism, Sheeran is clearly a fan. He has been spotted in multiple Richard Milles, including the Richard Mille RM 38-01 Tourbillon G-Sensor Quartz “Bubba Watson”. Since there were only 50 pieces made, it is hard to get an aftermarket price on this piece. A few have sold for around $820,000 USD.

Sheeran has also been spotted wearing the even rarer Richard Mille RM 26-02 “Evil Eye” Tourbillon in black ceramic and 18k rose gold. The evil eye on the watch is hand painted enamel, while the flames are solid gold and lacquer painted. The flames sit over the Richard Mille caliber RM 26-02 manually wound movement that also includes a one minute tourbillon. This piece was limited to just 25 pieces, so there aren’t currently any listings. The watch, however, retailed for $575,000 USD.

The final Richard Mille I am going to highlight is the Richard Mille RM 27-03 “Rafael Nadal”. This limited edition of 50 pieces features red, orange and yellow as a homage to the red clay courts of Roland Garros. Additionally, the crown is meant to look like a tennis ball. This piece retailed for $725,000 USD directly from Richard Mille.

Ed Sheeran’s Audemars Piguet Watches

Sheeran’s collection seems to include every brand you would expect, including Audemars Piguet. Sheeran has been spotted wearing the Audemars Piguet Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT (Ref. 26589IO.OO.D002CA.01). This piece is currently available on the secondary market for around $250,000 USD.

One of my favorite Royal Oaks in Sheeran’s collection is the limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon “Extra-Thin” in black ceramic. The watch features a black “Tapisserie Evolutive” dial. You can pick up this piece (Ref. 26522CE.OO.1225CE.01) on the secondary market for around $320,000 USD.

Recently, Sheeran was spotted on stage with Rapper Stormzy a in London during Stormzy’s “Heavy Is The Head Tour”. Both Stormzy and Sheeran were rocking some serious wristwear.

Stormzy was wearing a black ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Openworked Perpetual Calendar. The list price on Stormzy’s watch is $115,800 USD while the watch sells on the secondary market for $680,000 USD. Sheeran, however, was wearing a white ceramic Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. This piece retails for $135,000 USD but sells on the secondary market for $520,000 USD.

Sheeran was recently spotted wearing the new 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in blue ceramic Ref. 26579CS. This piece was released at the beginning of September 2022 so Sheeran managed to get one on his wrist in less than a month. Similar to the other ceramic perpetual calendars, this piece has an ultra-thin automatic movement and a thin case profile. While the price is available upon request, we are seeing them for sale for around $400,000 USD.

Ed Sheeran’s A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Watch

One of my favorite watches belonging to Ed Sheeran is actually an A. Lange & Söhne. In collectors’ circles German watchmaker is perennially considered in the same regard as Swiss brands Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. Sheeran has an A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk in white gold in his collection. This piece has an interesting (and very legible) numerical time display. You can pick one up on the grey market for around $70,000 USD.

Ed Sheeran’s Omega x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch

We all know how big a deal the Omega x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch release was. A month and a half later and the pieces are still sold out in most stores, selling for a hefty premium on the secondary market, and not available online from Swatch. Well, somehow Ed Sheeran was able to get his hands on a “Mission to the Moon” MoonSwatch. It is unclear whether someone at Swatch hooked him up, he paid a premium, or had an assistant wait out for one when it was released at Swatch stores. No matter how he got one, it is a fun watch, that many collectors are still clamoring to get their hands on. I too am constantly on the lookout for when they come in stock at the NYC store. The Omega x Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch retails for $260 USD.
