Joe Rogan's Watch Collection - Rolex, Omega, Panerai and More

While Joe Rogan is probably most well known for his controversial podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience”, he has been in the public spotlight for decades. I first remember him when he hosted for the reality television gameshow Fear Factor in the early 2000s. Rogan would basically encourage contestants to do terrifying or disgusting stunts (such as eating worms) for cash. I’ll admit it was entertaining. Rogan has also gained fame for his career as a host during UFC matches. Neither of these gigs, however, would come close to the mammoth deal he signed with Spotify in 2020. The music streaming service reportedly paid Rogan over $200 million USD for exclusive rights to “The Joe Rogan Experience”. While Rogan may be a firebrand and controversial, that influx of cash has given him a lot of money to spend on watches, and he has a pretty nice watch collection.

Joe Rogan’s Rolex Yacht-Master 40

Rogan clearly likes Rolex. Back in his earlier days (I mean he had hair…) Rogan could be seen wearing the now discontinued Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 16622. This piece is known for being a steel sport watch but with a platinum bezel. The monochromatic look is still prevalent on the more modern Yacht-Master, something that differentiates it from the likes of a Submariner or GMT-Master II. The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 16622 is currently for sale on the secondary market for around $10,000 USD to $12,000 USD.

Rolex Submariner No Date

It seems that Rogan has a preference for steel Rolex tool watches. In addition to the Yacht-Master, Rogan has been seen wearing perhaps the most popular Rolex of all time, the Rolex Submariner. The Submariner is probably the most iconic watch in Rolex’s lineup, and perhaps the most iconic watch period. The standard Sub with black dial and bezel is offered in two models, with a date and without a date. Rogan’s Submariner is the no date version. The no date Rolex Submariner retails for $8,950 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller

Joe has also been seen wearing Rolex’s largest dive watch, the DeepSea Sea-Dweller. Due to the DeepSea’s patented Ringlock technology and airtight waterproofness, it can reach ocean depths of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet). Rogan appears to be wearing the limited edition James Cameron version that features a gradient dial that is blue at the top and black on the bottom. The Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller James Cameron edition is currently selling for around $17,000 USD on the secondary market.

Joe Rogan’s Rolex Daytona

The final Rolex in Rogan’s collection is the classic Rolex Daytona. Rogan has been spotted wearing the white gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 116509. This exact model of the Daytona has been discontinued but it has a unique look. Not only does it have numerals (as opposed to the more common sticks), but the dark grey dial with red subdials and chronograph hands gives the watch a true sporty racing feel. The Rolex Daytona Ref. 116509 is currently selling on the grey market for between $60,000 USD and $70,000 USD.

Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 46

I’ve always been of the Breitling Superocean Heritage line. The classic look and Breitling’s signature mesh bracelet just go well together. Well little did I know that Breitling produced an oversized version of the classic in the Superocean Heritage 46. While the watch is offered in a fairly standard 42mm, Joe rogan owns the 46mm variety. Rogan’s Breitling features a sunburst blue dial and match blue bezel, always a winner in collector circles. The Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 retails for $5,450 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Omega Seamaster 300m James Bond 007 2020 Edition

Joe Rogan apparently is a fan of the James Bond franchise. He was seen wearing the Omega Seamaster 300m James Bond 007 2020 Edition. This watch was the same watch that Daniel Craig wore in the 2020 James Bond film No Time to Die. Beyond the watch’s association with James Bond, it’s just a handsome piece. The vintage tan hands and indices give it an old school feel. And Omega even went as far as to put it on a very nice mesh bracelet, similar to the mesh bracelet on the Breitling Superocean Heritage. The Omega Seamaster 300m James Bond 007 2020 Edition retailed for $9,200 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase

You probably don’t need a moonphase on your watch if you’re actually on the moon. But I guess the rest of here on Earth can use it. Joe Rogan has been seen wearing the very nice Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch with moonphase. In addition to the moonphase, the watch has a chronograph, standard across all Moonwatch models. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase retails for $10,700 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Panerai Radiomir 1940 PAM00512

It should be clear by now that Rogan likes large watches. Then it makes sense that he has a couple of Panerais in his collection. One such piece is the Panerai Radiomior 1940. At 45mm this Panerai actually wears a little smaller than many other Panerai models due to the lack of the signature Panerai crown guard. Still, this piece has many other hallmarks of Panerai timepiecs, including the sandwich dial and vintage lume. You can pick up the Panerai Radiomir 1940 PAM00512 on the secondary market for around $6,000 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Panerai Submersible PAM00024

The Panerai Submersible is a true dive watch. You can tell this by the unidirectional bezel and 300m water resistance. While this piece is only 44mm it wears much bigger due to the thick case and bezel and Panerai’s signature crown guard. Joe Rogan doesn’t seem to mind large watches, so it makes sense he has one in his collection. You can pick up the Panerai Submersible PAM00024 on the secondary market for around $5,000 to $6,000 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Traser H3 Red Combat

Traser was a brand I had not actually heard of until researching for this article. Some of their watches, including their P69 Black Stealth, are actually very unique watches that I wouldn’t mind trying out myself. The one downside of this brand is that even though their watches are Swiss made, they all appear to run on quartz movements. However, because of this, they tend to be pretty affordable watches. Rogan’s Traser H3 Red Combat has a nice stealthy look. It is all black with a few red and white accents. While the watch does not appear to be available any longer on Traser’s website, you can still find them on Amazon for $550 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GG-1000-1A3

I feel like every enthusiast has at least one G-Shock in their collection. Well maybe it’s just me (I have a couple CasiOaks), but Rogan has been seen wearing the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster. The Mudmaster clearly has a lot going on, but that is normal for a G-Shock. If you like a combination analog/digital watch with a lot of functionality, you’ll like the Mudmaster. It retails for a modest $350 USD.

Joe Rogan’s Seiko SLA033 "Captain Willard”

I’ll admit of my favorite watches from Rogan’s collection is a Seiko. But it’s not any old Seiko. It’s the limited edition Seiko SLA033 “Captain Willard”. This watch was limited to just 2,500 pieces worldwide. Interestingly, this piece was a re-issue of a Turtle-shaped Seiko diver (ref. 6105-8110) from the 1970s that was made famous Apocalypse Now (1979). Captain Willard, played by Martin Sheen, wore the Seiko, giving the watch its nickname. Because of the rarity of the watch, the Seiko SLA033 sells on the secondary market for between $3,300 USD and $5,000 USD.
