Introducing the Aventi Wraith A15-01 Saphite Paraiba
Aventi first came on the horological scene a few years ago and generated a ton of buzz around the fact that it had an affordable Tourbillon. We actually reviewed it here. Since then, they have been very busy, and it’s all led up to a brand new offering from the brand with many industry firsts. Introducing the all-new Aventi Wraith A15-01 Saphite Paraiba - The latest and greatest from Aventi in both material and design.

THE JUICE:
Aventi calls the A15-01 a “Laboratory of Ideas” and I can’t help but agree there. As I mentioned early, there is a few firsts in the industry with the Paraiba that truly make it a force in the industry.
Let’s start with the Case. Aventi has created a propriety Sapphire material they are calling “Saphite” and is much more scratch resistant and provides the ability to color in just about any way. Compared to traditional Sapphire which is often difficult to work with, hard to color correctly, and has a lot of waste. Essentially, Aventi creates a proprietary mix of Saphite, melts it down in an industrial furnace, and meticulously shapes the case, and allows the Saphite to crystalize over the course of about 4 weeks. In this case, a blue hue was utilized that was inspired by the tourmalines in Paraiba, Brazil (hence the name).
The dial and movement have also been realigned with it’s innovative case design. Don’t worry though, Aventi has still included a fantastic 18-component Tourbillon (Breguet anyone?) in its caliber GT-01S. The fewer components makes for a more skeletonized dial and really ties in some of the transparency of the case design. The movement and bridges are made entirely of black Grade 5 Titanium that is superbly decorated with Perlage and Anglage, which gives a unique coherency to the Wraith.
Additionally, one of the absolute coolest features of the watch is the handset. To my knowledge, I’ve never seen anything like it. Instead of a traditional handset, Aventi has opted to design and make the hands entirely out of sapphire crystal. This is said to have taken thousands of hours of research to achieve. Obviously, because it’s sapphire it would be clear - But Aventi has coated the edges of each of its sapphire hands with Lume, providing excellent legibility and an even deeper view of the dial.
Finally, the Aventi Wraith A15-01 Paraiba comes on really cool “Polar White” rubber strap. And for a watch with a unique case shape like this, it’s important that it’s comfortable on the wrist. So Aventi has opted to utilize FKM Rubber, a notoriously dense but soft rubber, to secure the watch to the wrist. In addition, the strap has a steel and titanium butterfly clasp buckle, made in-house, which makes it even easier to put on and remove the watch.
Aventi has come a long way since making more affordable tourbillon watches - both in quality and material. In fact, I’d argue that the strides Aventi has made in the last few years would take more traditional watch brands decades. And when it comes to independent Swiss watchmaking, it can be often hard to find a groove that’s exciting to enthusiasts, and technically achievable. I find that Aventi has a unique finger on the pulse of what excited potential buyers in feature sets and materials. So, overall, we are a big fan of the Aventi Wraith A15-01 Saphite Paraiba and are elated to see what the brand has in store in the future.
So, how much is the Aventi Wraith A15-01 Saphite Paraiba?
The price of the watch is set at $24,500 USD - a price that we definitely won’t complain about for a watch with both a sapphire case and a Swiss Tourbillon movement.
