INTRODUCING: The All-New Bremont Supermarine
Giles and Nick English have built Bremont on the foundations of their own history in engineering and aircrafts as well as British heritage and design. They are proud partners of the Ministry of Defense. Through this partnership and their collections, the brothers honor His Majesty’s Armed Forces. The partnership also allows them to be the only luxury watch company allowed to legitimately use the signs, symbols and Heraldic Badges of all three services (Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force). With this legacy Bremont produces functional tool watches for air, land, and sea.
Although they are rooted in British design and history the name Bremont was acquired through a touching interaction with a French engineer and aircraft war veteran. In the late 90s as the brothers took one of their planes out for a ride, they had to do an emergency landing while flying over France. They landed in a farmer’s field who took them in for the night. His home was full of half-restored clocks and engine parts. The brothers were so moved by this hospitality and the farmer’s experiences that they swore they would never forget that moment. The farmer’s name was Antoine Bremont.
Bremont has once more expanded beyond their British foundations by recruiting industry veteran, Davide Cerrato, as their new CEO. Davide Cerrato is a Turin, Italy native and an executive that has made immeasurable strides and impacts across the watch industry. Watches & Wonders 2024 showcases Cerrato’s newest bearings with two new additions to the Bremont brand.
The first being the All-New, redesigned Bremont Supermarine. When Davide was first brought on to the Bremont team, he had a hand in one of the first redesigns of the Supermarine to include a bracelet. It was successful, but this new Supermarine is a complete redesign of the Supermarine collection. The Supermarine, historically, has been a bit more of a modern tool diver, while Davide takes the Supermarine back to a more vintage era - A-la the Tudor Black Bay of his past. With the wild success of the Black Bay, we’re seeing a shift in Bremont to a more relaxed and vintage aesthetic for the Supermarine. One that we definitely welcome.

The updated Supermarine collection features two iterations. The Supermarine 300m and the Supermarine 300m Date. The Supermarine 300m features a date window at 3 o’clock and has two colorway options. One is a monochrome black dial and steel case and bracelet with the option of rubber or leather straps as well. The other 300m date is available in chocolate and rose gold editions with bi-colored rose gold and steel bracelet, case and crown. There strap options for these models are bracelet or leather.
All pieces in the collection are 40mm in size with 300m water resistance and Automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve.
We’re excited for this new progression at Bremont under Davide Cerrato. Cerrato has a history of creating iconic pieces for major brands such as Tudor, Montblanc, and Panerai, so we are eager to see his impact at Bremont. So far Cerrato has done a great job with staying true to Bremont’s British bones and heritage while adding his renowned style and influence. The two new releases of the Terra Nova and Supermarine are a great showcase of where he plans to go with the brand.
