THE JUICE:

Since its inception, the Streamliner has been a subject of focus not only for Moser, but for the industry as a whole, as Moser was able to capitalize on the resurging wave  There have been numerous iterations of the Streamliner already - This line has played host to their revolutionary perpetual calendar movement, a limited edition chronograph, and even got doused in VantaBlack paint! Although there have been a lot of iterations of the Streamliner in its relatively short history, but none have been anything like this. Moser is taking their collection to new heights with the all new Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton.

Without even having the opportunity to see one in person, I have been mesmerized by this skeletonized dial each time I have viewed it - and I can’t imagine pictures do it justice. It cannot be denied, this watch is a heavy hitter, even for the lofty standards of H. Moser & Cie.  Like a lot of what Moser does, it checks a lot of boxes for collectors of Haute Horology pieces who value utility as much as they do beauty. Crafted in stainless steel, this piece strikes the perfect combination of sporty capability and haute beauty. The flying toubillon at six o’clock is not only incredibly aesthetically pleasing, but a technological feat requiring perfect poise and balance within the movement. This watch is just as much a conversation starter as it is a dependable daily wear.

As many skeletonized dials are, this watch presents an air of chaos, but contrasting rose gold hands and hour markers provide a sense of order and symmetry, as well as greatly boosting legibility. The rose gold accents also complement the fully skeletonized oscillating rose gold weight in the back powering the movement. As is the same with all streamliners, the bracelet integrates perfectly into the case, giving wearers a distinctly modernized version of a classic bracelet style. All in all, this watch is everything that lovers of the Streamliner expect, and everything they don’t, all at once.

Most collectors know Moser as a maker of watches that can be whimsical in nature, but this new addition should remind the industry that they are a hard-hitting watchmaker that can contend with the best of them. As a huge fan of the Streamliner already, I hope we continue to see future iterations that are like this one.
