Rolex Rainbow Daytona - Which Celebrities Own One?
We had a lot of success tracking which celebrities added the Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 to their collections. Because our readers enjoyed that article so much, we thought we would do a similar article, but this time track which celebrities owned another extremely hot and extremely expensive timepiece: the Rolex Daytona rainbow. There are actually multiple variations of the Rainbow Daytona out there, with the yellow gold (Ref. 116598RBOW) and white gold (Ref. 116599RBOW) variations introduced in 2012 and the current production model, the rose gold variation (Ref. 116595RBOW), introduced more recently in 2018.
The everose Rainbow Daytona is set with 47 sapphires, 36 baguette-cut sapphires on the bezel and 11 additional sapphires on the indices. The white gold and yellow gold rainbow Daytonas also have 36 baguette-cut sapphires on the bezel, but eight brilliant-cut diamonds as hour markers. The rainbow Daytona is the holy grail of Rolexes for many collectors. Not only is it produced in very limited quantities, but the secondary market is quite robust. Expect to pay around $500,000 USD on the grey market to add any variation of the rainbow Daytona to your collection.
Kevin Hart’s Rose Gold ROlex Rainbow Daytona
Actor Kevin Hart is a notable watch collector, owning many different high-end brands, including Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Rolex. Well, Hart was spotted when he was a guest on the Ellen Show wearing the very exclusive rose gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow. In addition to the Rainbow Daytona, Hart has been spotted wearing many different Daytona variations, including the platinum Daytona, steel Daytona with panda dial, and both steel and gold vintage Ref. 6263 Daytonas.
Mark Wahlberg’s White Gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona
Mark Wahlberg is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. And if you have followed Wrist Enthusiast for a while, you will also known that he has quite the watch collection. Wahlberg’s watch collection includes one of the 170 Tiffany Blue Nautiluses, as well as a Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon and many Rolex models. Among Wahlberg’s many Daytonas is the white gold Rolex Daytona rainbow. The white gold rainbow Daytona has been discontinued, making it a favorite among collectors.

I’m sure if Rolex rolls out a new rainbow Daytona model, Wahlberg will pick up that as well.

Adam Levine has been in the news a lot recently, and not for the best of reasons. But we have also featured Levine’s impressive watch collection. Levine clearly has a preference for Rolex, as he has been seen wearing many different models, both vintage and modern. And his favorite Rolex model? Definitely the Daytona. So it makes sense that Levine would have the most exclusive modern Daytona in his collection: the rose gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Yellow Gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona
With the 2022 World Cup coming to an end recently, a lot of the watch world was focused on not the games, but the watches worn by the footballers. Well, Portuguese all time great Cristiano Ronaldo, has quite the watch collection. In his collection, Ronaldo has a yellow gold rainbow Daytona. Interestingly, Ronaldo’s Daytona appears to be customized with a black mother of pearl dial (which does not come standard on any rainbow Daytona). Ronaldo’s rainbow Daytona actually has the exact same style dial as a yellow gold Daytona he wore earlier in his career. It looks to me that Ronaldo changed out his rainbow Daytona’s dial for his mother of pearl dial.

John Mayer’s White Gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona
Many consider John Mayer’s watch collection to be the best among celebrity collectors. And I won’t disagree with that assessment. Mayer owns many heavy hitting timepieces, both vintage and modern, from Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Rolex. Mayer has been seen in multiple “rainbow watches.” One of them is the new white gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition with multi-colored gem-set bezel. And Mayer’s rainbow Daytona is also of the white gold variety. Mayer clearly is a fan of gem-set bezels.
Post Malone’s Rose Gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona
Unlike fellow singer Adam Levine, one does not immediately associate watch collecting with singer Post Malone. But Post Malone actually has watch collection with some heavy hitter timepieces. He has been spotted wearing the $1,000,000 Richard Mille RM 052 Tourbillon Skull along with other Richard Milles, Patek Philippes and Rolexes. Back in 2019, Post Malone appeared on Jimmy Fallon wearing the very exclusive Rose Gold Daytona Rainbow 116595RBOW on his wrist. It appears Post Malone is quite a watch collector.
Anthony Davis’s Rose Gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona
I guess Lebron James isn’t the only watch collector on the Los Angeles Lakers. Teammate and fellow star Anthony Davis has been seen wearing his share of nice wristwatches. His collection includes more affordable timepieces like the stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual with turquoise (similar to a Tiffany Blue color) dial as well as other eccentric Daytonas, including the Rolex Daytona “Eye of the Tiger” with diamond tiger striped dial and diamond bezel. Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career may be winding down. The 41-year old striker has provided many memorable moments on the pitch over his career. For those who notice, Zlatan has also showcased some pretty nice timepieces over the years. Zlatan’s collection includes multiple Patek Philippes, Rolex Daytonas, and even an Omega X Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch. There were a lot of great watches displayed at the 2022 World Cup. Perhaps the most talked about watch at the World Cup was Harry Kane’s Rolex Daytona “Rainbow” Ref. 116595RBOW. Kane, captain of England, was seen wearing this watch before England’s win over Iran. There is a lot of conjecture Kane wore this watch to make a political statement. In addition to the standard diamonds on the bezel, hour markers and lugs of the watch, Jam’s Daytona also has brilliant-cut diamonds on the dial and center links of the watch.
