Is Keanu Reeves the nicest guy in Hollywood? Perhaps. Recently, while filming John Wick 4, he gifted his stuntmen Rolex Submariners as a thank you. This is an incredibly gracious gift, but is not the first time that a celebrity has gifted high-end watches to those around them. From athletes giving their teammates timepieces to actors giving watches as “wrap gifts”, this article will take a look at some of the coolest watch gifts.
Keanu Reeves gifted Rolex Submariners to his stunt team on John Wick 4
The internet lit up recently about the next-level gift Keanu provided to his stunt team upon wrap of John Wick 4. Showing appreciation for your stuntmen is a very classy thing to do. Doing so by giving them an iconic Rolex Submariner with the current state of the watch market makes it all the more impressive.

Steve Carell gave the cast Rolexes when he left The Office
Steve Carell similarly gifted the cast of The Office Rolexes when he departed the hit series. “When Steve left The Office, he gave everybody a Rolex watch. I still wear it. It reminds of me that amazing experience,” Kate Flannery, who played Meredith Palmer, told Yahoo during an interview.
Steve Carell is regularly seen wearing a Rolex (such as a Submariner or GMT Master II “Batman.” It makes sense that he would give them as gifts.
The Kardashians surprised the Keeping Up With The Kardashians crew with Rolexes
Say what you want about the Kardashians (I am not the world’s biggest fan), but they went all in recently showing their appreciation for the crew of their hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians or KUWTK for short. After wrapping on the final episode after 20 seasons, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kris surprised the crew of with Rolex watches according to TMZ. Apparently they spent about $300,000 on the 30 watches, so that equates to $10,000 per watch. While I may not be the biggest Kardashian fan (because, what are they really famous for) these gives are a really nice gesture to those who worked behind the scenes for many years and didn’t reap all the benefits.

Bruno Mars gifted his bandmates gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks
Audemars Piguet, or AudeMARS Piguet, has “Mars” in the name so I guess it makes sense that popstar Bruno Mars would have an affinity for the brand. In 2019 he showed his appreciation for his bandmates by gifting each one of them a gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Ref. 15202. The retail price of each one of these watches at the time was a whopping $55,400 USD.
Mars boasted on Instagram at the time: “My boys continue to show the world what time it is, and a band that sings together blings together! ✨✨ #AudeMARS #Hooligans #Squad 2019! 🍾”
Lamar Jackson gifted his offensive line with Rolexes
If you are a NFL quarterback you definitely want your offensive line to respect you. Perhaps thats why in 2019, then second year phenom QB Lamar Jackson gifted his offensive line with Rolexes. Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley received the very nice Rolex Datejust in the video below. This seems to me to be a great way for a young up and coming QB like Lamar to make sure his offensive line protects him from taking a beating. Well done Lamar!
Tom Brady gifted his offensive line IWCs
Tom Brady, the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, is well known as an IWC Ambassador. In addition to this, Brady has a pretty great watch collection. Brady’s career has spanned a whopping 22 years. In order to be so successful over such a long period time you have to make some friends. And what better way to win over your teammates than to give them gifts?
Brady thanked three of his 2007 offensive-lineman for their protection during the Patriots 2007 undefeated regular season and for their help with his Best Buddies charity by giving each lineman an Audi Q7 SUVs. Brady Joked at the event that “now you’ll be well protected, just like you make me feel … sometimes.”
So Brady is a known gift-giver (he also has regularly given out Uggs in the past, which is not the greatest gift). However, in 2020 Brady gave his Tampa Bay Buccaneers linemen IWCs as a belated Christmas gift. I wonder if Brady paid for these or if IWC foot the bill, given Brady’s sponsorship with the brand.

John Wall gifted his teammates Rolexes
If you think it’s just QBs buying watches for their offensive linemen you would be mistaken. One of the more extravagant acts of Rolex gift-giving was in 2017 when NBA star John Wall gave HIS WHOLE TEAM gold Rolex Day-Dates. That’s $36,550 USD per watch (if you are paying retail) for 15 players on the team (including Wall. Let’s assume he got a watch for himself). Thats comes out to $547,500 USD on watches. That’s quite the gift.
Cristiano Ronaldo gifts his Real Madrid teammates Bulgari Diaganos
Ronaldo is a well known watch collector. He can often be seen sporting some of the most extravagant timepieces on the market. Recently he was spotted wearing a highly sought after gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow with gems on the bezel and case.
Prior to Christmas in 2014, Ronaldo bought custom Bulgari Diagano watches for every one of his teammates to commemorate Madrid's tenth European Cup championship, which the club calls "La Décima." See the photos below.

Joe Burrow Gifts His Offensive Line Custom Iced Out Casio G-Shocks
Second year Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback sent shockwaves through the NFL on January 30, 2022 when he went toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game and advance to Super Bowl LVI. Burrow, a former first overall pick in the NFL Draft, represents a new crop of exciting young QBs in the AFC that also includes Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert. It’s going to be tough in the AFC for the foreseeable future.
Well, just a month ago Joe Burrow presented his offensive line with a pretty nice Christmas gift. He gifted his entire offensive line with custom iced out Casio G-Shocks (Ref. GM6900SCM-1) by jeweler Leo Frost. While the watches without customization retail for $210 USD, they will be much pricier with all of those diamonds. You got to stay on the good side of your offensive line if you’re a quarterback, right?
