Mark Wahlberg's Watch Collection - From Rolex to Patek Philippe
Anyone who has paid attention to celebrity wristwear the past few years would surely notice the impressive collection from former Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and (briefly) New Kids On The Block band-member (and of course Hollywood superstar actor) Mark Wahlberg. Interestingly, Wahlberg’s recent collection seems to consist only of two heavy-hitting brands, Rolex and Patek Philippe. While I am not one to criticize owning any Rolex or Patek Philippe, perhaps Wahlberg could have invested in at least one Audemars Piguet or Vacheron Constantin? So what kind of watch does Mark Wahlberg wear? I will take a look at many of the more notable pieces from Marky Mark’s collection, both Rolex and Patek Philippe.
Mark Wahlberg’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Wahlberg’s Rolex collection runs the gamut in terms of retail price. One of the pieces Wahlberg has recently been spotted wearing is the entry-level (entry-level for for Rolex standards) Oyster Perpetual in turquoise blue. While this 41mm Rolex retails for just $6,150 USD, its secondary market price has recently skyrocketed to close to $40,000 USD for the 41mm model. And why is that? People noticed that the dial was similar in color to the Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus that recently sold at auction for $6.5 million USD. While this Rolex has not affiliation with Tiffany & Co., its value has certainly benefited from the perceived association.
Mark Wahlberg’s Rolex Daytona In White Gold
Wahlberg also has quite the collection of Daytonas. One of the pieces he has been spotted wearing is the white gold Rolex Daytona with sunburst blue dial (Ref. 116509). This piece has experienced a price increase in the last few years (like basically every other Rolex). While it currently retails for $40,450 USD, the current market price is between $57,000 and $63,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Platinum Rolex Daytona 116576TBR
Wahlberg’s Daytona collection also includes some of the “icier” pieces Rolex makes. One of the pieces Mark has been seen wearing is the platinum Rolex Daytona Ref. 116576TBR with factory diamond bezel and diamond dial. If you are going to diamonds on your watches, it’s best to get a watch with factory-set diamonds. And this piece surely fits the bill. If you want this platinum piece, be prepared to shell out over $400,000 USD to your grey market dealer.
Mark Wahlberg’s Rolex Daytona Rainbow 116595RBOW
I’ll highlight one more Daytona from Mark’s collection. It is the same Daytona we featured when discussing seven of our favorite factory-set diamond watches. It is the highly sought after rose gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 116595RBOW. Each of the 36 baguette sapphire gems around the bezel of this watch is hand selected for the specific hue. The last price reported for this watch was a mammoth $520,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Rolex Submariner Starbucks
Is anybody’s Rolex collection complete without a Submariner? I’d argue no. Well, don’t worry Mark Wahlberg has a Submariner too. He has been spotted wearing the stainless steel Submariner with black dial and green ceramic bezel (known as the Kermit, Cermit, or Starbucks, take your pick). This relatively new release retails for $10,600 USD but is currently selling on the grey market for around $23,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Gold Rolex Yacht-Master II
Wahlberg has also been spotted wearing the much less talked about Rolex Yacht-Master II in gold. This piece is one of Rolex’s largest timepieces, coming in at 44mm. You can take a look at our review of the stainless steel variation of Rolex Yacht-Master II here. The gold Yacht-Master retails for $43,550 USD and is currently selling on the secondary market for around $50,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Rose Gold Rolex GMT-Master II Root Beer
The last Rolex from Wahlberg’s collection we are going to feature is another classic, the rose gold (or everose as Rolex calls) Rolex GMT-Master II “Root Beer” Ref. 126715CHNR. This beautiful piece retails for $39,350 USD but is currently selling on the secondary market for around $55,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1300A-001
When Wahlberg isn’t rocking a Rolex, you’ll likely find him wearing a piece from the venerable Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe. When someone thinks of Patek Philippe, they likely think of the classic Genta-designed Nautilus. Wahlberg has quite his share of Nautiluses, including some of the rarest pieces on the market. No, Wahlberg does not have the Tiffany Blue Nautilus (but we’ll be sure to let you know if he gets one on our Tiffany Blue Patek Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 Celebrity Allocation Tracker). But Wahlberg does have the-almost-as-rare stainless steel Nautilus Ref. 5711/1300A-001 with olive green dial and factory-set diamond bezel. This beautiful pieces retails for $94,624 but is currently selling on the secondary market from $800,000 to $1,000,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Diamond Patek Philippe Nautilus 5990/1400G
The final Nautilus I am going to feature from Wahlberg’s collection is the white gold Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5719/1G-001. Like the previous Nautilus, this piece is also “iced out” with about 8.82 carats in diamonds. In my opinion it is not as nice as the 5990/1400G. Baguette diamonds just look more substantial to me. While this piece is nice, it doesn’t offer any complications and will set you back around $480,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s White Gold Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G
While the Nautilus is the hot Patek Philippe these days, Wahlberg’s collection extends beyond a single model. Indeed, Wahlberg has been spotted wearing the other “hot” Patek Philippe model, the Aquanaut. One of the Aquanauts he’s been spotted wearing is a personal favorite. It is the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G in 18k white gold with blue dial and strap. This piece retails $69,150 but is currently available for sale on the secondary market for $220,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 5271/13P-001
Wahlberg also has quite a few complications in his collection. One of my favorites is his Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5271/13P-001. This piece has platinum case set with baguette-cut green emeralds while also boasting Patek Philippe’s first in-house perpetual calendar chronograph movement. Though these pieces rarely come up for sale or auction, the market price is around $380,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Patek Philippe Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 5207G-001
With all the pieces already mentioned, what more could you want if you were Mark Wahlberg? How about a tourbillon? Well Mark has one of those as well. Wahlberg has been spotted wearing the very rare Patek Philippe Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar in white gold with blue dial (Ref. 5207G-001). This piece is currently selling on the secondary market for a cool $1,000,000 USD.
Mark Wahlberg’s Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Haut Artisanat 6002R-001
Wahlberg has also been spotted wearing the new Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Haut Artisanat Ref. 6002R-001 made in 18k rose gold. This timepiece was released by Patek in 2021 featuring the same 12 complications and 2 dials of the 6002G that was made in white gold and released 8 years earlier, in 2013. The case, pusher, lugs and clasp are all hand engraved. The retail price of this piece is 1,600,000 USD and I won’t even venture to guess what the secondary market price would be (if one of these pieces ever reached auction.
Mark Wahlberg’s Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711
Mark Wahlberg is a proud owner of the most hyped watch on the planet: the Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711. On April 18, 2022 Wahlberg uploaded an Instagram video in which he is clearly wearing the watch. The whole video just really seems to be a huge flex to the world. I guess if you have it, you might as well tell people about it.
Mark Wahlberg’s Patek Philippe Grand Complication 5374/300P
Friend of Wrist Enthusiast, and mega-collector Zach Lu, @zachattack__25 on Instagram attended a movie premiere last night, and was bumping shoulders with the likes of fellow watch collector Kevin Hart, and fellow Tiffany Blue Nautilus owner Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg wasn't wearing his Tiffany Nautilus, though. Instead he was wearing the Patek Philippe Grand Complication Ref. 5374/300P. This beauty has a mechanical Caliber R 27 Q movement that includes a minute repeater with “cathedral” gongs, perpetual calendar (with day, date, month, leap year and 24-hour indication by hands) and Moon phase. Not to mention the diamonds on the bezel and dial. The retail price of this watch is not readily available, but we see them going for well over $1,000,000 USD on the secondary market.
Mark Wahlberg’s Jacob & Co. Epic X Boston Green Edition
Mark Wahlberg was recently spotted wearing a new brand, Jacob & Co. Specifically, Wahlberg was wearing the one of one Jacob & Co. Epic X Boston Green Edition. Being a Boston native and diehard Celtics fan, it makes sense Wahlberg would want a green watch. The Epic X Boston Green Edition is rose gold with a bezel set with 26 baguette white diamonds and retails for $150,000 USD. You can learn more about the Jacob & Co. Epic X Baguette here.
