Dwayne Johnson's Watch Collection - What Does The Rock Wear?
Dwayne Johnson has had quite the career in entertainment, from his early days as “The Rock” in the WWE to more recently becoming one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Like fellow movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Tom Holland and Sylvester Stallone, Johnson has amassed an enviable watch collection. Made up of a variety of different brands, The Rock is a fan of large watches that command major wrist presence.
Dwayne Johnson’s Audemars Piguet Watches
If you see The Rock wearing a watch, it generally will be a pretty large timepiece. This extends to his choice of Audemars Piguets. This includes the 44mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore in stainless steel. In addition to a stainless steel case, the Ref. 26400SOOOA002CA01 also has a ceramic bezel (which is helpful to avoid scratching the bezel. You can find this model Royal Oak Offshore on the secondary market for between $30,000 USD and $35,000 USD.
Johnson has also been spotted wearing a much rarer, and in my view much more appealing, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. That is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph with frosted white gold case/bracelet and purple dial. This piece was limited to just 200 pieces and is a more modest 41mm. Released in 2019, this piece is incredibly hard to get and can only be obtained on the secondary market. The Royal Oak Chronograph Ref. 26331BC.GG.1224BC.01 is currently listed for around $320,000 USD on the secondary market.
Dwayne Johnson’s Rolex Watches
No collection is complete without a Rolex, and The Rock has at least a couple. While not a huge “Rolex guy”, Johnson has been spotted a couple of times wearing a few different pieces. One such piece The Rock has been spotted wearing is an all gold Rolex Yacht-Master with champagne dial. This piece is smaller (for Johnson) at 40mm and was produced in the early 2000s. This piece, likely a Ref. 16628, currently sells on the grey market for around $28,000 USD.
Johnson has also been spotted wearing the more modern two-tone Rolex GMT-Master II “Root Beer”. This watch is known as the root beer due to the black and brown rotating bezel. This piece also happens to be one of my favorite two-tone watches. While I am typically not a huge fan of two-tone watches, I do like a two-tone that opts for rose gold over yellow gold. Two-tone with rose gold just seems less dated than a two-tone with yellow gold. The Rolex GMT-Master II “Root Beer” Ref. 126711CHNR retails $15,250 USD but sells on the secondary market for around $25,000 USD.
Dwayne Johnson’s IWC Watches
If you like big watches, IWC has quite a few options for you. Johnson, who stands at 6’5” (he was a former football player for the University of Miami Hurricanes) obviously knows that. Johnson has been seen in quite a few IWC timepieces, including the classic IWC Big Pilot 7 Days Ref. IW501001. This piece is a large 46.2mm and has a 7 day power reserve. The watch currently retails for $13,200 USD directly from IWC.
The Rock has also been spotted wearing the IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Spitfire with green dial and bronze case. This piece (Ref. IW503601) was released in 2019 as a limited edition of 250 pieces and currently sells on the secondary market for around $30,000 USD.
The final IWC I am featuring in Johnson’s collection is not a Big Pilot, but does include some complications. Johnson has been spotted wearing the more traditional IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar Ref. IW503502. This piece is a favorite of mine due to the combination of stainless steel case with sunburst blue dial. The watch currently retails for $21,500 USD.
Dwayne Johnson’s Breitling Superocean Heritage B01 Chronograph Watch
In addition to owning many IWCs, The Rock has been seen wearing another brand that has strong aviation heritage. Johnson was seen recently wearing the Breitling Superocean Heritage B01 Chronograph. This piece comes on a very nice mesh steel bracelet and has a nice sunburst blue dial. The watch retails for $8,300 USD.
Dwayne Johnson’s Panerai Watches
Dwayne Johnson is a big Panerai fan and collector, and apparently started collecting in his earlier days. Here he is spotted with his daughter Simone as a baby (she is now 20) wearing a limited edition 44mm Panerai Luminor Marina PAM0091 in titanium with a black dial. You can pick up a PAM0091 on the secondary market for around $5,400 USD.
The Rock is still a fan of Panerai, having been spotted on February 13, 2022 at Super Bowl LVI between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams wearing a a 44mm Panerai Submersible Goldtech watch with ceramic bezel, black dial and a caoutchouc black strap. This piece, Ref. PAM01070, retails for $30,000 USD.
Johnson is such a big fan of Panerai, he has worn Panerais in multiple movies. One such piece is the Panerai Luminor Submersible he wore in 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. This 42mm watch looks pretty small on his large wrist. You can pick up the Ref. PAM00973 on the secondary market for around $6,800 USD.
Dwayne Johnson’s Oris ProDiver Date 100m Watch
Panerai isn’t the only brand of watch The Rock has worn in movies (or even in the Fast and Furious franchise for that matter). In addition to wearing Panerais in both Fast Five and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Johnson wears an Oris in Fast & Furious 6 (2013). Johnson is seen wearing a discontinued Oris ProDiver Date 1000m. You can learn more about it at Oris’s website. In fact Oris Watches have not only made cameos in the Fast and Furious franchise, but have appeared in many different movies and television shows.

Dwayne Johnson’s Tag Heuer Monaco
Johnson was recently spotted with his DCEU Black Adam costar Pierce Brosnan wearing a classic Tag Heuer piece, the Monaco chronograph. Though the Monaco is 39mm it wears a little bigger because of the square case shape. The Rock’s Monaco is on a very nice stainless steel bracelet and retails for $7,450 USD.

Dwayne Johnson’s IWC Ingenieur 40 Automatic
If you didn’t know, the Rock is a co-owner of the XFL, an young football league, that restarted in 2020. Well Johnson was at the XFL Championship last night (May 13, 2023) in San Antonio, Texas to watch the Arlington Renegades defeat the D.C. Defenders 35-26 to take home the championship. On the field after the game, Johnson could be seen wearing the brand new IWC Ingenieur 40 Automatic in stainless steel with black dial Ref. W328901. This piece retails for $11,700 USD from IWC.
