Cristiano Ronaldo’s Watch Collection - The Most Exhaustive List

Last week I took a loom at the watch collection of superstar footballer Lionel Messi. It is only proper that I now take a look at the very impressive collection of another all time soccer great: Cristiano Ronaldo of the Manchester United. The Portuguese superstar’s collection is vast, and it runs the gamut of ostentation, from classic steel in his early days to a wide very of diamond adorned pieces more recently.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Rolex Watches

In 2008, very early in his career, Ronaldo would often be seen wearing the classic steel Rolex Daytona Ref. 116520 with black dial. This piece is definitely one of the most understated watches CR7 has been seen wearing throughout his soccer career. As you’ll see as we get into more of Ronaldo’s watches, his taste has clearly evolved since 2008. You can pick up a Rolex Daytona Ref. 116520 on the secondary market for between $25,000 USD and $30,000 USD.

Ronaldo clearly has an appreciation for the Daytona. He was also spotted early in his career wearing a yellow gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 116508 with mother of pearl dial and diamond indices. The dark, almost purple, mother of pearl dial on this watch is referred to as black mother of pearl. This piece is currently available on the secondary market for around $66,000 USD.

Ronaldo’s final Daytona is something of a grail for many. He was spotted fairly recently wearing the yellow gold Rolex Daytona with gem-set rainbow bezel, Ref. 116595RBOW. The interesting thing about Ronaldo’s piece is that it has a black mother of pearl dial. In fact, it has the same exact style dial as his yellow gold Daytona I just featured. It looks very likely that either Ronaldo swapped out his rainbow Daytona’s dial for his mother of pearl dial, or had his gold Daytona customized with a rainbow bezel and diamonds on the lugs and crown guard. The true answer is anyone’s guess. A factory Rolex Daytona Rainbow sells for between $500,000 USD and $750,000 USD.

Besides the Daytona, Ronaldo apparently has an affinity for the GMT-Master II. Ronaldo has been seen wearing the yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 16758SARU. This piece has a “Pepsi” gem-set bezel. You can find the Rolex GMT-Master II SARU on the secondary market for between $195,000 USD and $250,000 USD.

CR7 has also been spotted wearing perhaps the most iced out factory Rolex in existence, the Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 116769TBR. This white gold GMT-Master is set with 30 carats of cut factory diamonds on the dial, case, bezel, and bracelet. The GMT-Master Ref. 116769TBR is the most expensive watch ever made by Rolex at the retail price of $485,350 when it was first released.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Hublot Watches

Ronaldo’s collection also includes a couple Hublot watches. While Hublot gets some grief from some in the watch community, I genuinely like Ronaldo’s Hublot titanium Hublot Spirit of Big Bang in blue Ref. 601.NX.7170.LR. The watch has an interesting rectangular case and handsome skeleton dial (though it has some legibility issues). The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang in titanium retails for $23,100 USD.

Ronaldo has also been spotted wearing a much icier Hublot, the Hublot “Masterpiece” MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis King Gold. While this watch has many similarities to Hublot’s Big Bang models (especially in case shape and design), the watch also has a unique biaxial tourbillon a the bottom of the case. Ronaldo’s watch is a “piece unique”, meaning there is only one, and it is believed to be priced at around $1,000,000 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Bulgari Octo L’Originale Tourbillon Blue Full Baguette Diamonds

The Bvlgari Octo line has been a bit of a darling in watch enthusiast circles recently, and rightfully so. I mean, for a while they had the thinnest watch in the world (right now that record is held by Richard Mille, but I’m sure Bvlgari and Piaget are gunning to retake the record). Being a high jewelry brand, Bvlgari has never shied away from combining high end jewelry with haute horology. They did that in spades with the Octo L’Originale Tourbillon Blue with full baguette diamonds. This piece combined Bulgari’s BVL 263 automatic tourbillon with 451 baguette-cut diamonds (for a total weight of just under 20 carats). This watch was limited to 8 pieces and retailed for a whopping $708,000 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Cartier Santos 100 XL Chronograph

The Cartier Santos may be one of my favorite watches. While I love the standard polished, though very scratch prone, steel bezel, Ronaldo does not have to worry about scratching his Santos. That’s because Ronaldo’s Santos chronograph is set with diamonds on the case and bezel. You can pick up a similar Cartier Santos on the secondary market for around $15,000 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Jacob & Co. Watches

When you think of Jacob & Co. you very well might think of Ronaldo. Ronaldo seems to have had a close relationship with the brand, and the brand’s founder Jacob & Co., for years. Ronaldo has been spotted wearing multiple Jacob & Co. timepieces, including the Jacob & Co. H24 Four Time Zone in full diamonds. In addition to the main time display, the watch allows for four additional time zones. This piece has a price-tag of $150,000 USD.

Back in 2013, Ronaldo could be seen wearing another Jacob & Co. timepiece with 5 timezones: the Jacob & Co. Grand Baguette. In addition to the five time zones, this white gold watch watch is set with 360 baguette diamonds totaling13.2 carats and five crowns invisibly set with 3.5 carats of baguette diamonds. The Grand Baguette is limited to just 6 pieces and retails for $1,000,000 USD.

Like fellow all-time great footballer Leo Messi, Ronaldo has been spotted wearing a Jacob & Co Epic SF24. Ronaldo appeared in a print ad for Jacob & Co. wearing the Epic SF24. This rose gold watch features a split flap display at the top of the watch that can cycle through 24 additional time zones. The Epic SF24 retails for $150,000 USD.

Ronaldo’s final Jacob & Co. piece is probably the most special piece. Earlier this year Jacob & Co. and Ronaldo unveiled earlier Ronaldo’s piece unique Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon CR7 Edition. Jacob Arabo & Ronaldo worked together to design this one of one beauty. As you can see, the watch's details are inspired to match the exterior and interior of Cristiano's Bugatti Chiron CR7 car. This timepiece is covered with 232 white baguette diamonds and 109 black sapphires, totaling 21 carats of gemstones. It also features the logo of Ronaldo's company: CR7. While it is a piece unique, this watch would have a retail price of $1,000,000 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Breguet Classique Grande Complications Double Tourbillon

Ronaldo’s Breguet Classique Grande Complications Double Tourbillon is perhaps his classiest watch. No it doesn’t have diamonds all over the dial and case, but it does have not one, but two tourbillons that are connected by a series of differential gears. The watch comes in a platinum case and on an alligator strap. This Breguet will set you back quite a bit as it retails for $616,400 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Girard-Perregaux Planetarium Tri-Axial

Ronaldo sure likes the piece uniques. He has another in the Girard-Perregaux Planetarium Tri-Axial with diamond bracelet and bezel. This watch has a hand-painted globe rotating in 24 hours and a triple axis tourbillon. While Ronaldo’s model is a one of one and not available for sale, it is estimated that it would retail for $2,000,000 USD.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Franck Muller Watches

Ronaldo is also clearly a fan of Franck Muller watches as he has been spotted in many different models. He has been spotted wearing a 44mm Franck Muller Vanguard Chronograph Ref. V45CCDTAC. Ronaldo’s Vanguard has a black dial and stainless steel case set with diamonds. You can find this timepiece on the secondary market for around $55,000 USD.

CR7 has also been spotted wearing the iced out one of one Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex Tourbillon. This 39mm watch is set with diamonds all over the case, dial and bracelet. It also has a tourbillon complication. The retail price on this watch is $1,450,000 USD.

Ronaldo has another completely gem-set Franck Muller with a tourbillon. Ronaldo has been spotted wearing the Franck Muller Invisible Baguette Diamonds Imperial Tourbillon. This insane watch is set with 424 baguette diamonds and rubies. The price tag is about as high as you’d guess, this watch costs a cool $2,000,000 USD.
