INTRODUCING: The All-New Bremont Terra Nova Collection
The industry went abuzz last year as Bremont announced its newest CEO, industry veteran, Davide Cerrato. Excitement and curiosity poured out from all different watch-related news sources. Although a relatively new brand, founded in 2002 by British brothers, Nick and Giles English, Bremont’s history runs deep. Euan English, father of Nick and Giles, left behind a love, heritage, and knowledge of all things mechanics and engineering. So it’s a pretty huge undertaking for Davide.
Everyone was eager to see what this new collaboration would bring. In the last year Cerrato has added his touch to existing pieces or collections within Bremont, slightly altering them. Now, for Watches & Wonders 2024 we get two new collections fully designed by Davide Cerrato - The Terra Nova is the latest field watch for Bremont with much to offer. It’s easy to see how Davide Cerrato was so successful at Tudor, and these new collections are a real change to the brand DNA as he guides Bremont in the development of their new pieces.

The juice:
The Terra Nova is one of the latest releases from Bremont and Davide Cerrato. It is their newest field watch inspired by 20th-century military pocket watches. The collection features three variations in style, function, and size. The pieces are available in 38mm, 40.5mm, and 42.5mm.
The 38mm is a new step for Bremont with its smaller size. The brand is harnessing the emerging trend of smaller case sizes and introduces it in the new collection. The 38mm 2-hand piece features a stainless-steel cushion case with shortened lugs to fit the wrist even more comfortably and comes in two dial colors (black or white) and two strap options (brown leather or steel bracelet). Like the other pieces in the collection the dials are a vertical gradient finish and set with full Super-LumiNova block numerals. The automatic movement has a 38-hour power reserve. The watch has a 100m water resistance.
The 40.5mm follows the same cushion case design but features two different iterations the Terra Nova Date and the Turning Bezel. The first option is a 3-hand with date in two dial colorways (black or green), and three strap options (leather, NATO, or bracelet). The second iteration is the Turning Bezel, which features a bi-directional compass bezel, a small seconds subdial, and a date window. This iteration is available in two dial colorways (black or blue) and three strap options (leather, NATO, or bracelet). The automatic movement in both iterations has a 38-hour power reserve, and both options have 100m water resistance.
The 42.5mm watch of the Terra Nova collection is a chronograph set in a cushion case. The two counter chronograph features a ceramic bi-directional compass bezel and date window. The piece is available in a black dial and three strap options of leather, NATO, or bracelet. The Automatic movement has a 56-hour power reserve, and the watch has 100m water resistance.
Davide Cerrato has had great success and influence in the watch industry. He has worked with many famous watch brands such as Tudor, Montblanc, and Panerai. Some of his biggest accomplishments include the launch of the Tudor Black Bay, which restored Tudor as a brand and is now one of their most iconic pieces. As well as his creation of the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere, which became a hero product and helped mold the brand’s identity.
We believe Davide will have a positive impact on Bremont’s already successful collection of timepieces. We are excited to see what continues to come from Bremont under his leadership.
