INTRODUCING: Vieren Diamond Stereo Collection
Earlier this year Toronto based watch company, Vieren, introduced their newest series of watches, which they coined the Stereo Collection. The collection is inspired by music, as the name states, but more specifically the era of 1970s music and the glamour of Studio 54. The two initial pieces—Gold Mirror and Gold Sunray—set the blueprint for this series. They are fashioned in the iconic Vieren rectangle case. The gold case and bracelet house a skeleton like dial within the rehaut ring in the center. This design emulates a vinyl that sits on a flashy dance floor encompassing a decade of retro rhythm and dance. Now, the Stereo Diamond, their newest addition to the Stereo Collection is here. The three new Stereo Diamond pieces continue the journey of this series and capture the disco theme of the Studio 54 era with their diamond set dials that sparkle like a dance floor under a disco ball.

The Diamond Stereo pieces are the latest addition to the Vieren Stereo Collection bringing in a slightly newer dial design as well as introducing two new colorways to the already gold collection. The three new pieces are available in 18k gold plated, stainless steel, and a black DLC plated colorway. They align with the collections theme of 1970s Studio 54 vibes and capture that era of music harmoniously. The overall collection’s makeup is inspired by a decade of musical innovations like vinyls, tape decks, and vintage stereo systems. The three new additions bring more allure for those that may have wanted even more shine to the already flashy gold watches in the collection.
The Diamond Stereo models are handset with 93 diamonds (about 0.335 carats) across the dial. At the center is the rehaut ring also featured in the previous models. Within this ring is a semi-skeleton design that features a specially engineered date disc similarly playing into the theme of music. The date disc pays homage to analog volume meters of the past. The Diamond Stereo models feature the same exhibition sapphire caseback as the previous pieces, where the ETA 2671 automatic movement is visible. The pieces have a 44-hour power reserve so you can keep the dance party going. The watches are certified Swiss Made and have been produced over a six-month period in a watchmaking studio in, La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
Overall, the pieces complement the collection and bring some more variety with the two new colorways. The steel and black alongside the gold enrich the disco theme as the diamonds along the dials complement these colors. Having more options can increase consumer interest, especially for those who have already purchased either of the previous Stereo Collection models. Founder, Jess Chow and Creative Director, Sunny Fong dedicate their timepieces to their cultural traditions as well as the time periods they draw inspiration from. Their watches represent characteristics that are true to their Chinese heritage as they select their designs and motifs. Everything from the colors and stones they choose to the logo and the shape of the crown symbolizes a positive belief or custom in the Chinese culture that they would like each of their consumers to carry as they wear a Vieren timepiece.
