Ryan Reynolds’ Watch Collection

Ryan Reynolds has had quite the acting career. His early days saw him star in the sitcom Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place. After that series, I’m not sure anyone would guess that Reynolds would go on to become one of the biggest movie stars and a fashion icon. From Van Wilder to Deadpool, Reynolds has become one of the largest grossing actors of all time, with movies grossing over $5 billion. With all that money floating around, you might expect that Reynolds has some nice watches. And you’d be right. Let’s take a look at Deadpool’s watch collection.

Ryan Reynolds’ Piaget Altiplano Ref. G0A42052

When it comes to classic watch designs, Piaget is up there with the best. The Altiplano is one of the most well-known of Piaget’s line. When most collectors think of the Altiplano, they think of their ultra-thin complications, including a watch that for a period of time was the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. What many do not know, however, is that the Altiplano has been in production since 1957, so it has a lot of history behind it. In 2017, to celebrate the 60-year anniversary of the Altiplano, Piaget released their 40mm Altiplano in a variety of playful colors, including sunburst green (Ref. G0A42052). It made sense to give their new ambassador, Ryan Reynolds, one of these watches to model. Reynolds was introduced as a Piaget ambassador 1 year earlier, in 2016. The gold Piaget Altiplano Ref. G0A42052 is limited to just 260 pieces and is currently selling for around $25,000 USD on the secondary market.

Ryan Reynolds’ Piaget Altiplano Ref. G0A38130

Reynolds wore multiple Altiplano’s during his time as a Piaget ambassador. In another press image, he can be seen wearing the Piaget Altiplano Ref. G0A38130 with small seconds at 4 o’clock. This 40mm white gold watch features Piaget’s 1205P ultra-thin automatic mechanical movement, which is just 3mm thick. While the Altiplano Ref. G0A38130 has been discontinued, you can find it on the secondary market for around $16,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Piaget Polo Chronograph

When it comes to the heavyweights of the steel sports watch category, people typically think of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus and Vacheron Constantin Overseas. Piaget’s Polo, released originally in 1979, is a steel sport watch worthy of being mentioned with these other classics. With a unique bulbous case, the Polo is clearly its own design, lacking the derivative nature of many other timepieces in the category. Reynolds has been pictured wearing the Polo chronograph with blue dial. The watch is two subdial chronograph with the date at 9 o’clock. This allows the dial to breathe a little more and not appear cluttered. The Piaget Polo Chronograph Ref. G0A41006 retails for $17,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Piaget Polo Gold

Reynolds has also been seen wearing the Piaget Polo in rose gold. I have to say, I might prefer this watch in gold and on a leather strap than steel on steel. The gold case, white, lined pattern dial reminds me of the discontinued gold/white Nautilus 5711 on leather strap. At 42mm, the Polo can be dressed up or down. The Piaget Polo Gold Ref. G0A43010 retails for $30,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Nixon Siren Ref. A1210-001-00

I bet you weren’t going to ask me what watch Ryan Reynolds wore in the 2019 film Detective Pikachu. Well, I am going to give you the answer anyway. While Reynolds spends most of the film in his Pokémon form, when human he can be seen wearing a simple digital Nixon Siren Ref. A1210-001-00. Because Detective Pikachu took place in what I think is a futuristic alternate universe, the choice of watches actually makes sense. The design is minimalistic and interesting, and might be my favorite model from Nixon. It is much more interesting than the brand’s analog offerings. The Nixon Siren is just $125 USD from Amazon.

Ryan Reynolds’ Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 003

Ryan has been seen both on and off screen wearing Panerais in the past. One such Panerai he has been seen wearing is the stainless steel Luminor Marina PAM 003 with seconds at 9 o’clock. The watch was produced between 1997 and 2001 and was powered by a manual wind Panerai caliber OP II movement (which was based of the ETA 6497-1). The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 003 is currently selling on the secondary market for around $5,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 351

On screen Ryan Reynolds has been seen wearing another Panerai, the Luminor Marina PAM 351. Reynolds wore this in the 2015 body-swapping thriller Self/Less. Like the PAM 003, the Panerai 351 is a rather large (but not large for Panerai) 44mm. This watch however is powered by Panerai’s in-house calibre P.9000 movement, that has seconds, date and a three day power reserve. The watch also features a handsome sandwich dial, something that Panerai is known for. A sandwich dial is made up of the dial layer with the indices cut out on top of a lume disc. This technique not only creates additional layers in the dial, but produces the brightest possible lume. The Luminor Marina PAM 351 is currently available on the secondary market for around $6,000 USD.

Ryan REynolds’ Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale Prototype

Chopard first started supporting the Mille Miglia race in 1988, and released their first Mille Miglia chronograph that same year. While the actual event is extremely exclusive (only cars that participated in the original event from 1927 to 1957 can compete), the Mille Miglia watch line has expanded and become Chopard’s most well-known line of sport watches. One of the more interesting Mille Miglia pieces is the Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale Prototype worn by Ryan Reynolds in the 2016 Netflix film 6 Underground. The watch has a sleak all black design, with touches of red. The watch’s power reserve fits the line’s racing heritage as it is made to resemble a fuel gauge. Chopard donated the actual watch worn by Reynolds in the film to the Revolution x The Rake Covid-19 Solidarity Auction. The watch ended up selling at auction for $11,500 USD, but you can buy the watch Ref. 168566-3007 (not worn by Reynolds) for $8,390 USD directly from Chopard.

Ryan Reynolds’ Chopard Alpine Eagle

The Chopard Alpine Eagle’s predecessor the St. Mortiz and Hublot Classic Fusion were both originally released in 1980 and both had something in common, striking similarities in case shape and bezel (screws) to the earlier released Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The Alpine Eagle also had some similarities to the Patek Philippe Nautilus, especially the case wings. That being said, the Chopard Alpine Eagle is a very handsome sport watch, and the textured dial pattern takes the watch to the next level. Interestingly, thought Reynolds has been seen wearing a couple of different Chopard watches (including this Alpine Eagle) he does not appear to have been a Chopard ambassador (at least that we publicly know of). The stainless steel 41mm Chopard Alpine Eagle Ref. 298600-3001 retails for $13,400 USD.

Ryan Reynolds' Casio F-91W Digital Watch

2021's Free Guy was one of the surprising hits of 2021. In the film, Reynolds played a NPC, a non-player character in a video game, who gains sentience. In the film, Reynolds wears the classic Casio F-91W digital watch. Despites its low cost this Casio has made its fair share of of appearances in film and television, including on Eddie Munson in Stranger Things and on Ali in Squid Games. You can pick up the Casio F-91 on Amazon for just $15 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

Another Ryan Reynolds Netflix movie, another luxury watch feature. This time it is the 2022 sci-fi film The Adam Project and an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. This time-traveling film features an adult Adam (portrayed by Reynolds) going back in time and meeting his younger self. Both versions of Adam also happen to be wearing an Omega Speedmaster, given to them by their father. I’ve actually seen the film and it is nothing if not a fun movie when you have nothing else to watch. It appears Reynolds is wearing an Omega Speedmaster Ref. 311.30.42.30.01.005 with Calibre 1861 manual wind movement. You can pick up this Speedmaster on the secondary market for around $5,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon

Reynolds’ Speedmasters aren’t relegated to the big screen. He has at least three more that we have seen him on off-screen. One such piece is the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Ref. 311.92.44.51.01.003. Unlike the original Speedmaster, the Dark Side of the Moon is 2mm larger at 44.25mm (vs. 42mm), has a two subdial chronograph, and is made of ceramic. The watch also runs on an automatic movement, the Omega calibre 9300. The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon retails for $12,000 USD.

Ryan Reynolds’ Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Black Black

If the original Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon is not blacked out enough for you, consider the Dark Side of the Moon Black Black. The entirety of this watch is black. What you lose in legibility though, you make up for in coolness factor. Plus, you normally have to go to a watch customizer in order to completely black out a luxury watch. Well, Omega did it themselves, and we are big fans. Beyond the color differences with the original Dark Side of the Moon, the Black Black is the same. It even retails for the same $12,000 USD. Reynolds wore this watch during an appearance on The Ellen Show. He apparently is a big fan of Speedmasters.

Ryan Reynolds’ Gold Omega Speedmaster with Green Dial

Reynolds’ final Omega Speedmaster might be our favorite. The gold Speedmaster with green dial reminded many of the Rolex Daytona “John Mayer” (also gold with green dial) when it was released earlier this year. That said, many people actually liked the “Moonshine” gold and darker green color combination of the Speedmaster than gold and green of the Daytona. While it might not be fit to go into space, it surely is a great watch for the Met Gala. And that’s exactly where Reynolds wore the beautiful timepiece. The Omega Speedmaster Moonshine Gold with Green Dial Ref. 310.60.42.50.10.001 retails for $37,900 USD.
